This has to be the best Tom Clancy novel yet......
Makes you proud!
They seem to be doing a good job at their sabotage-- let's hope they continue!
(And, although I'm sure they would never mention it publically-- some of Iran's other neighbours are probsbly quite happy about this as well).
Intriguing!
Well-- I hope they are. If they are, I wish them luck. It would be a contribution to us all.
Very interesting!
Why can't we hire the Mossad to fix those idiots at the CIA?
Can anyone cite one thing the CIA has accomplished?
Well, I can think of onething. But-- if I tell you, I will have to kill you!
(Yikes-- just joking! Krishna as spy master wannabe! And anyway, I can't think of anything. ).
They do seem to be generally rather incompetant-- in fact, it seems the more they try to improve things, the worse they make them. (I would imagine that they have suceeded in some thinngs..but the problem with organizations is that, naturally, there's a lot that's...secret!)
If you wish to know more about the bungling of the CIA read Legacy of Ashes. Apparently when we set it up during WWII they were too arrogant to let the British (the masters at the time) help.
Starred Review. Is the Central Intelligence Agency a bulwark of freedom against dangerous foes, or a malevolent conspiracy to spread American imperialism? A little of both, according to this absorbing study, but, the author concludes, it is mainly a reservoir of incompetence and delusions that serves no one's interests well. Pulitzer Prize–winning New York Times correspondent Weiner musters extensive archival research and interviews with top-ranking insiders, including former CIA chiefs Richard Helms and Stansfield Turner, to present the agency's saga as an exercise in trying to change the world without bothering to understand it.
The Mossad used to be one of the best in the world. They still may be, but I get the feeling they're not as great as they used to be. (of course, once again, its hard to really know with organizations that operate in secrecy).
