There's a war going on in America, and the stakes are nothing less than Glenn Beck's internal organs.

Just last year "They" said my wife was having an "appendicitis" and that "They" must take her appendix out. Now I am not sure does that make her a communist/nazi/mayoist (lover of mayonnaise) liberal now or a freedom fries & burger (no fancy schmancy mustard) loving real American?¿? I am confused.

Yes to some-- no to others.

So did I. He tried at first to look casual about it, but when he saw it wasn't going to happen, he chucked the damn things! What a laugh!

I also liked te glasses thing. And also the fact that he really had some of Beck's (very dramatic) gestures and facial expressions down-- he's an excellent mimic.

Of course Beck is really weird-- so in one sense he's easy to make fun of-- but that doesn't take away from Stewart's skiils-- he did an unusually great job!

Silly but funny.

If you ever get a chance to watch a video of Beck-- he is very, very (overly) dramatic. In the seeded video, Stewart really picks up on the nuances of Beck's "style".

Extremely [overly] dramatic. To the point that I sit, staring at him wondering if he's off his meds temporarily or is this going to be him from now on?

Actually I think its all an act-- Beck tries hard to be deliberately controversial-- it makes for ratings. (Notice how much attention he gets on NV? More than most leaders of major countries-- or important politicians.).

Stewart is a comedian, Beck is posing as a serious promulgation of opinion, which makes him nuts on any scale. Beck even acts like he is reporting the news, Stewart only makes jokes about the news; there is a huge difference.

Fair enough, but I don't think that Beck understands what he is doing, if he does he beats Colbert and I seriously doubt that. I think most people who use reason laugh at Beck but if he is really only satire, the joke will be on the educated yet even more on his followers that believed that he was making something other than ridiculously stupid comments.

Well, I don't neceasrily think he's trying to be funny. But I do think that its at least in part an act.

I could b wrong, but here's what I think he's doing-- he's deliberately try to be outrageous. To be extreme. To create controvery.

Why? Because he gets noticed. People talk about him.

And his strategy works-- he does get noticed 9with all the problems in the world-- look at all the attention he gets-- even here on the Vine). And that means fame and fortune for the guy...

He isn't trying to be funny.

But he's trying tio be ..dramatic..even offensive...to attract attention.

But there are always idiots in the population who will believe anything (heck, even some otherwise intelligent people gravitate to very crazy extremist political views-- both on the left and on the right).

Do you think Stewart is being extreme, even when he finds humor in Obama? Obama is funny but he is it. Beck isn't, that is the problem that I have with Beck's inability to use logic. Beck is simply stupid, Obama is a smart President and he should listen to Stewart and Maddow.

There are a lot of gullible people-- and Beck cleverly plays into their gullibility.

Beck is not single handed in his inability to understand logic but others like Rush, Hanity, O'Reily, Coulter, etc understand their pure corruption of logic and they are guilty of the crimes that they promote, with their violent rhetoric. It is not a sign of intelligence to create obstruction as a form of argument but it does create an audience, no matter how inept it is. Beck and Palin are in the nut club but many are in the club of unconscionable cynicism and the validation of unethical violence..

Although there are exceptions, I've noticed that generally when someone accuses a politician of being illogical its usually becasue they have a different opinion.

(Although accusations of being "illogical" aren't as trendy as they used to be-- now-a-days when someone disagrees with you, has a different point of view-- the "cool" things to do is to accuse them of "racism" ;-)

I have friends in Arizona. They are not racists by any means. They have descri=bed in great detail the situation therte-- and what illegal immigration ios doing to the stae-- has nothing to do with racism.

Most people they know who live there (and who are aware of what's going on) also oppose the lack of border enforcement-- has nothing to do with race.

Of course there are racists everywhere-- and some live in Arizona and oppose illegal immigration for racist reasons. But that's a minority position-- the real issue has nothig to do with racism.
