"On Nov. 2, Californians will vote on Proposition 19, which if passed will legalize marijuana growth, production, and use for those 21 and over. It's a possibility the federal government and many anti-drug activists are firmly against. What's more, the idea of marijuana being freely distributed and used has been taboo in the U.S. for decades -- an attitude perhaps best exemplified in 1936's over-the-top anti-marijuana film Reefer Madness debuted. The movie shows young adults falling to the deadly scourge that destroys lives and causes mass hysteria.
