Excellent collection of photos!

Although the title gives the impression that these pictures are just about architecture, they also cover other topics.

There are all sort of pictures, focusing mainly on the the experiences of U.S. soldiers--  as well as many that really give the viewer an good idea of  what Afghanistan actually looks like.

Please note:

In accord with DoD sanitizing policy the DoD photos do not show war carnage and very little of the damages caused by combat. Some of the commercial photos show the more truthful deaths, wounds and destruction.
