Magic Mushroom House Built Under the Influence of Hallucinogenic Drugs
By Rusty Blazenhoff on March 15, 2012The Magic Mushroom House in Aspen, Colorado is a beautiful multi-level home designed by Andre Ulrych in the 1970′s who was said to be under the influence of the hallucinogens: “magic” mushrooms and LSD. CNNMoney recently spoke with the current co-owner, Patty Findlay, about the nearly 6,000 square foot home and its psychedelic history. She says the curving walls of the house have no corners (inspired by nautilus shells) and that Hugh Hefner had a pajama party there.
In 2009, photographer Michael Brands captured images of this stunning home for the The New York Times article titled No Home For Squares. (LINK)
